Who wouldn’t want to stay at grand mansions, be waited on hand and foot by personal chefs and butlers or escape to a private island.
For those who can afford it, there’s HomeAway Inc., the world’s leading online vacation rental marketplace.
The company, founded less than 10 years, spun off Luxury Rentals from HomeAway, and in one year the service now offers more listings for elite travelers in one place than any other company in the world.
The rental site currently lists more than 4,500 luxury rentals worldwide, with properties in more than 40 countries. They include mansions, castles with high-end amenities, such as gourmet kitchens, cinemas, wine cellars and access to private yachts.
“The quick growth in listings and traveler demand for Luxury Rentals from HomeAway shows the strength of the luxury market and the need for an ultimate resource in truly exceptional vacation accommodations,” said Brian Sharples, CEO of HomeAway.
Think you can afford it? The luxury site’s listings average five or more bedrooms at $1,800.
Luxury Rentals from HomeAway has competition when it comes to luxury rental properties. Onefinestay and the more affordable Wyndham Vacation Rentals are among companies that offer stays at castles and villas, as well as Vakast, which just announced a new site that features opulent vacation rental homes and private jets, ranging from $1000 to over $30,000 per night.
